They will have the opportunity to learn with some incredible women in a variety of STEM fields. Girls explore complex concepts through hands-on experiments with expert role models from University of Oregon’s Women in Graduate Science and other female mentors. Workshops take place at Eugene Science Center and the University of Oregon campus. Girls’ Science Adventures is run in partnership with the University of Oregon Women in Graduate Sciences.

There’s no better way to learn about our vast universe than asking an astrophysicist! Dr. Charity Woodram will lead you on a space-themed quest for knowledge through space-themed, hands-on experiments and an educational show in Eugene Science Center’s planetarium. From planets and stars to galaxies far away, learners will explore ideas that are out of this world. Through hands-on activities and interactive exploration, we will uncover the science behind space phenomena and imagine what it might be like to explore the cosmos.
Discover the exciting world of 3D printing! In this session, girls will explore how 3D printing is used to make incredible things like surgical implants. They’ll choose fun designs to bring to life during the session and work together to come up with creative ways to solve complex problems using 3D printing.
