Mad Scientist Halloween Extravaganza

This event showcases Eugene Science Center at its spookiest! We’ve got eerie experiments, spooky science demonstrations, and haunting Halloween fun. Be sure to try your hand at launching a pumpkin projectile with our giant trebuchet on the front lawn.
Wearing a costume is encouraged!

Outside:
Food Truck – I Scream for Waffles (with Fall menu specials)
Trebuchet Pumpkin Launching: 2:30 – 5:00pm, or until pumpkins run out
Planetarium: (tickets included with admission to event)
Halloween Spooktacular Laser Show: 2:15, 3:45, 4:30 pm
Mind-blowing science demonstrations by University of Oregon’s Society of Physics Students: 3:00, 5:15, 6:00 pm
Potions Lab:
Dry Ice Ghost Bubbles
Make your own Atomic Glow Worms (and take them home)
Test your daring and taste edible crickets and mealworms
Frog Dissection Demos: 3:30, 4:30, 6:00 pm
Mad Scientist’s Lab:
Make your own slime (and take it home)
Live animals on display: ball python and rose-haired tarantula
“Hair-raising” Electrostatic generator Demos: 3:00, 4:00, 5:00, 6:00 pm
Exhibit Hall:
Photo Booth: Share your photos with us using #eugenesciencecenter
Enjoy a seasonally decorated experience of our hall of fun, engaging science exhibits!
Price: $8 per person, $7 for Seniors, Free for Children ages 0-2.
