***COVID-19 Planetarium Guidelines***
The health and safety of our guests, staff, and volunteers is our top priority. Therefore, the following guidelines are in place. Please read them carefully:
Reservations are required. All planetarium tickets must be purchased in advance. Walk-in visits are not permitted at this time and no tickets will be sold on site. Tickets can be purchased in advance here. Once purchased, your name will be added to our will call list.
Wear a mask that covers your nose and mouth. The science shows that wearing masks greatly reduces the likelihood of transmission of COVID-19. Therefore, masks are required for all staff, volunteers, and guests in the planetarium unless the individual:
- Is under 12 years of age
- Has a medical condition that makes it hard to breathe when wearing a face covering
- Has a disability that prevents the individual from wearing a face covering
Keep physically distant from everyone, except members of your family or group arriving together. Based on seating layout, we can accommodate group sizes of no more than 6 people. Planetarium capacity will be limited to allow for a minimum of 6 ft. distance between all separate groups.
Restrooms are closed and will be unavailable for use before and after public planetarium shows. Please plan accordingly.
Water fountains are closed. Water bottles will be permitted in the planetarium.
Cleaning and sanitizing of planetarium seats, door handles, and other high-touch points will be conducted by staff between each scheduled showtime. We encourage all guests to use our hand sanitizer stations available in our lobby and planetarium.
If you are sick, stay home. Symptoms of COVID-19 include: fever, cough, shortness of breath or difficulty breathing, chills, repeated shaking with chills, muscle pain, sore throat, new loss of taste or smell. If you are experiencing any of these symptoms, please stay home and visit us at another time.
As always, planetarium shows begin promptly on time and late seating will not be permitted. Please plan to arrive at least 5 minutes prior to scheduled show time.
If you have any questions about our schedule, please call Guest Relations at 541-682-7888.
